This is how my blogging journey was started

I wrote my first blog on Medium on Nov 24, 2023. I wrote the first blog which can be found on this website also named "wc_get_orders() function from WooCommerce, A WordPress E-commerce plugin". That was about a special function provided by Woocommerce that retrieves order data from the database. I was researching this one because I planned to build an analytical dashboard for websites powered by Woocommerce where the owner can see helpful analytics of their orders.

My first post on medium

I came to understand that Woocommerce provides this kind of facility by default. So I checked Woocommerce's default dashboard and didn't find anything helpful. All I needed was an advanced analytics dashboard that benefits users. But that didn't work out the way I thought. I ended up writing about the knowledge I learned from researching Woocommerce's plugin. I forgot about the blog and was devoted to keeping my academic legacy by passing the final examination for my BBA degree. I have to say that I came up with lots of ideas which weren't successful at all. But I am a man in a can! All I can do is try again again and again. Some months ago, I created a Chrome Extension Developer account to release my simple ideas on the tab for Chrome users. I am using a very popular chrome extension named "Project Naptha" developed by Kevin Kwok aka "Antimatter15". He shared lots of his ideas and projects on his website. I got inspiration from him. And frankly speaking, my full website is motivated by his website. I have to admire him—a pure genius guy.

I am a freelance web developer. I am an expert at building websites with Shopify and WordPress. I have been working as a freelance Shopify and WordPress developer for five years. So it was easy for me to build a blogging website using WordPress but I prefer a custom site where I can experience real-life problems. So I used Laravel, a PHP framework, to build this blogging site. I know I can create it in the blink of an eye with WordPress but I wanted to learn how things related to programming work. It took like 7 days to complete this site with basic CRUD features.

while building this site, I faced some critical processes like integrating TinyMCE, and currently using it as my blog editor, free version though. One thing that stressed me was the Elequent Model of Laravel. Like you can't use it. You can't have this function for this query builders, blah blah blah!!!!! But the site is ready now and I am happy for it. I know anyone may wonder why I need to make this extra effort when I can use MediumStackoverflow Blog, Quora, etc! I wanted something like Kevin Kwok's website and the interesting thing is he wrote his last project/blog, whatever you say, in 2015. And now 2024 is ending. Someone is motivated by Kevin 9 years later. I believe one day someone will find my ordinary ideas that may motivate him/her! This may not make any big difference, but that's my small happiness.
